bored...

haven't been posting much b/c honestly - NOTHING is going on, & i'm bored out of my mind here in seneca. seriously don't do much - get up, run, go to the tannin bed, eat, shower, sleep...yeah - that's about it...everyday. oh - i did write my first guitar song this week. :-) hopefully, the first of many! hoping to write some more piano songs too, but it's not something that can just happen. we'll see. the song i wrote this week is called "meet me here." hoping to write a piano part to it sometime. i'm excited about the next couple of days though - going to blacksburg for the senior class day. get to see my friends :-) also get to spend some time w/ one of my best friends this weekend too :-) headed to white oak for my summer job tuesday. should be pretty busy til then...have a telephone interview monday to hopefully be an RA at school next semester. hey - money!!!! works for me...but i doubt it will work out. anyway - i'm boring myself...gonna go find something productive to do...YEAH RIGHT!

one week down...

found out today that i'm getting my wisdom teeth taken out july 19. that's supposedly the earliest they can do it...needless to say, i'm not happy...in pain. been told for the past 3 years that i need them out...and now i've gotta wait 2 more months. oh well...
leave for camp (the one i'm workin at) the 24th...my sister and her baby have been here for the past week...they're leaving tomorrow. it's been fun :-)
started running again yesterday...but durn, it's hot here. it's really sad though - i'm so sore...i lost all muscle whatsoever over the past year. i'm tryin really hard to be positive about living here now...but i can't hide the fact that i do really miss being around friends...being able to just call someone up and say ''let's go do something.'' can't just go up to the school and hang out w/ people or play sports w/ the teams and stuff. oh well...that's life...gotta take what you're dealt and figure out a way to find happiness in it. needless to say...again...me and God are spendin a lot of time together!!! but that's a good thing :-)

i finally unpacked!! geeze...it was a pain, but today i accomplished more than i have in the past 2 weeks...probably! so i got here tuesday night after my last exam (well, my jury) and today i finally unpacked. can you say procrastinator?? yes, that would be me. i also painted some shelves that will be put in my room eventually...that's been put off for awhile too...(we moved my senior year in high school). so i'm thinkin the procrastination thing is hereditary...my dad was supposed to do that. so, i'll blame my "problem" on genetics! haha...
anyway...
i'm trying to catch up on rest before i head to camp on the 24th. it should be interesting...but fun. i'm a little apprehensive about it, but i think that's to be expected.
hm...yeah, so i really don't have any interesting news. oh...(not that this is at all interesting...) but i started the left behind book last night...AGAIN. i think i could quote the first 5 pages by heart...i've probably started that book 15 times since it came out. i WILL finish it this time...you know how i can tell?? i'm now on page 21. that's a huge accomplishment - i'm not a big fan of recreational reading. but i've begun to feel like i'm losing a grip on my, oh how should i put this, um...brains. all of the sudden i can't spell anything...and my common sense (if i ever had ANY) is completely running on empty. my solution: i'm going to read this summer. we'll see how long it lasts! lol...
OH...big news...my parents and i are going to columbia tomorrow after church to have dinner w/ my grandparents and pick up one of my sisters and her daughter. schuyler, my sister's husband, is going to be out of town until next saturday, so i get to spend a week with my sister and niece :-) definitely GooD TImEs :-D i figure i'll get a lot read tomorrow too :-P 3 hours to columbia...and 3 hours back. we all know i'll probably sleep the entire time, but until it actually happens...i'm telling myself i'll read. we'll see!!
went to the tanning bed for the second time this summer today...so now i must go...in search of lotion. i'm burnt & itchy...:-O

yeah, ok - so i just did the most disgusting thing ever: took the vacuum apart and cleaned out all of the hair. gross!! it was smoking and emitting a bad smell so we thought we should do something before it blew up! finally fixed it...and got the screws put back in...at the expense of a suitcase key that's now bent beyond ever being used again AND my pointer finger which was smashed by the fingernail clipper i initially tried to use in place of a screwdriver. BUT the good news is that the vacuum works...and isn't going to blow up. (i don't think)
before that we cleaned the carpet. get this...last week we went to krispy cream. while eating a raspberry-filled doughnut, the filling sneaked it's way out and landed right on the carpet. dangit. so i pulled out the wal-mart, off-brand, all-purpose...and it got RED, SMEARED filling out of our very light carpet!!! how crazy is that?! so today, we figured why not try to get out the B.B.Q. sauce out too. it fell behind the fridge at the beginning of last semester and busted open (figures...new carpet). after 9 months, that stuff came out of the carpet!! so let me just say...get some WAL-MART OFF-BRAND ALL-PURPOSE CLEANER!
so i'm headed to bed - will have to explain the eventful night last night another time. for now, i've got to catch up on some serious sleep!
