the longest week ever...

to put it bluntly, this week sucks! it's exam week and i only have exams today, friday, saturday, and NEXT tuesday. not that i'm complaining or want more exams, but it's going by SO slowly...and i've really got nothing to do. had my toughest exam this morning, so it's not like i can even cram for anything. just practice for a couple of hours a day and sleep. seriously - i'm bored out of my mind. yesterday was 'reading' day...yeah, so no classes - no exams...nothing. i did get to sleep til 12, but still...i'd rather get all this out of the way and start my SuMmEr!! the next 6 days are going to be torture. i can't even pack up my stuff...nothing to put everything in. aNyWaY...
i really have nothing to say...except that my life is pretty dull...i'm well-aware of that and i apologize. i really don't have the slightest idea why anyone would actually read this...it's more for me to waste time than anything. wow...i need some excitement in my life. ok...i guess it's back down to the practice rooms for me.

last day of classes!!!

yeah, ok...so here i am again on another boring and extremely long monday afternoon - trying to waste two hours in the SoM before my lesson. have i mentioned that i hate mondays? but who cares now...it's my last day of classes!!! i had my last 8 o'clock class this morning and i'm ecstatic! i don't think anyone understands just how much i need my sleep - and dealing w/ two semesters back-to-back of 5 days a week 8 o'clocks just hasn't gone over well. doc (the tpt prof) told me today...'my, you look sleepy this afternoon.' thanks for pointing that one out doc. but anyway...i get to sleep all day tomorrow!! "reading day"...ok, first of all...i won't be reading. and secondly, i seriously doubt anyone else will be either. studyng, maybe...but not reading. reading puts me to sleep - it doesn't take much. so where was i going with that?? hm....
oh, right...yeah, nevermind - completely lost all train of thought. (that tends to happen...get used to it!)
today's gonig to be even longer than any other given monday, but it should be a fun day. bcm (baptist collegiate minstries) is doing their annual gender wars banquet tonight...it should fun. good food and good laughs. the guys lost...they'll be embarrassing themselves tonight for our sheer amusement. looking forward to that!! and i think i'm going to check out late night carolina at the gym tonight too. free stuff! i'm up for that! ok...i'm beginning to bore myself now...i apologize...
guess i'll go and TRY to be productive...maybe practice for my piano exam saturday? although...i could take a nap...hm....

what's up with the weather???

yeah ok, so this morning i barely got up on time for church, but the good news is i made it. but my question is: what the HECK is up with the weather??? it's SO cold & windy. normally, i honestly wouldn't care, but being in columbia with bad weather is just miserable. trudging to class in the pouring rain as your umbrella is blown away inside out, although is hilarious to watch from inside, is not the least bit fun for nerds like me who refuse to skip class. (this has happened too many times to mention...i gave up on the umbrella by the way). anyway...my point is...we have a concert tonight on the horseshoe @ 6pm. i'm so not looking forward to it. it should be interesting....for now i'm gonna nap in my cold room (no heat either i might add) and wrap up in a blanket...or two.

let me fill you in...

so...today has been extremely boring and unproductive. got out of the bed around 12. used to love sleeping late, but i sleep all the time now. it's kinda ridiculous. slept until 3 a couple of weeks ago. like i said - ridiculous. i'm starting to get on my own nerves...but off of that soapbox.
tonight's been pretty depressing...i didn't get to go to the mercyme & jeremy camp concert here in columbia. and might i add - i'd been planning on going for months!! i seriously doubt my two favorites 'groups' will ever tour together again...and if they do, that they'll visit columbia. dangit...that's pretty much all i have to say about that. college is great...but i'm so broke...and that sucks big time! the highlight of my day was going to the christian bkstore and getting mercyme & jeremy's autographs. even got a pic taken w/ jeremy. it's not that i'm obsessed w/ either 'group,' but their music has just both meant and done a lot for me. enough of that...can't change it now!
i recently got a job w/ camp la vida as a summer counselor. it should be fun, but i had a nightmare so-to-speak about it last night. i vaguely remember it...but it involved duck boots. my mind is so random! even when i'm asleep! but anyway...
one more day of classes...ONE MORE EIGHT O'CLOCK CLASS. it's almost too good to be true. i'm so ready for the summer. my last exam is next saturday, but i'm stuck here until tuesday week b/c of my jury date. how i managed to get the last possible brass jury (and the last possible jury period out of the entire school of music!) i'm really not quite sure! it's also my scholarship audition - but no pressure. geeze. anyway...that's about it for now. i'm gonna go be even more unproductive....
